Our Weekend Away

James surprised me with a weekend getaway to the Anniversary Inn in Logan. He did such a fabulous job organizing and planning our fun weekend. The Anniversary Inn was so much fun. James chose Rich's Drive-In for our room. We slept in an old Ford truck and watched movies on a movie screen. We relaxed in a huge heated tub with bubble bath that he bought for me as one of the many surprises he had planned. We went shopping, site-seeing, hiking and most importantly spent time together.

This was our Ford truck/bed.
One of my surprises when we got to the room, James had arranged for flowers to be delivered.

I did enjoy the Diet Coke that was available 24/7!! It was just like having an IV of it.

James really enjoyed the hot dog toaster! He had to use, just to use it.

This was him, just pretending to eat the hot dog. We both dislike hot dogs, but he couldn't resist using the toaster.

What a Good Hubby

I don't write a lot of mushy stuff, so this is your warning, if you don't want to read it, stop reading now. So I woke up this morning to this plus a note and itinerary. My cute and thoughtful husband wrote me the sweetest letter to let me know how he feels about me, which he doesn't do very often, and an itinerary with the details of what he planned for us to do this weekend. He planned the entire thing, including setting up the babysitters for the weekend and a romantic stay in Logan. What a man. I am so thankful for a husband (and friends) that have noticed the amount of stress we have been under and the importance of a weekend getaway with just my hubby. I love you James. Thank you for being such a great husband and father. I am also thankful for friends and family that agreed to take on 4 kids for a weekend, including one that has never been left alone (and still sleeps with us!) WOW, how blessed am I.

This Is How Potty Training is Going!

Megan decided that she wanted to wear "Big Girl" panties. I don't think that she gets it!:) Yes, she is naked. She wouldn't put a diaper on, it had to be panties.

Blog Catch-up

I don't think that I have blogged for a month, sorry. I am more sorry for the large entry that I am going to post. This month we have visited Hill Airforce Museum, Megan's Second Birthday, Halloween and many other daily events, our house is never dull. So here we go through some of the events madness.

Where is Megan?

If we ever can't find Megan, we just have to look in the bathroom to find her. She loves to get into the sink and wash her hands, washing the dog, washing her feet, etc..... I have gone through so much soap.

Hill Airforce Museum
Braden loved the museum. He loves gadgets and sat on this chair for a very long time. They have redone a few things since I had visited with my students. It is more kid friendly and they have a great learning center. I love the old gentlemen that walk around remembering the old days. They are so patriotic and love to tell you stories of their adventures. Everyone enjoyed flying the planes in the flight simulator and the other new activities. Brooke now wants to fly in a jet and go really fast!

Signs of Fall...

I know all kids love to play in the leaves. I think that it is so funny. All I need to do is get out the rake and they start to giggle and shout hurray. They could play in the leaves for hours. I love fall and the changing of the leaves. When I was putting them bags to be thrown away, Braden asked if I was storing them up for another day. He wanted to play in them again. He was quite disappointed when I told him that they were going in the garbage. Oh how sad.

6 Car seats CAN fit in an Expedition....

So my girlfriend, Melanie and I decided to play while Braden was at school one day. We were a little worried that we were not going to fit in my Expedition. After many trial and errors, we finally maneuvered all of the car seats around until everyone fit. This pictures doesn't show it, but there is a baby in the backseat. That are 6 car seats in one car!!! Can you imagine what people were thinking as all of us got out of the car? Mind you they are all 4 and under!!!
